BEGIN YOUR sound JOURNEY

What is sound therapy and how does it work?

  • Sound practitioners use a range of instruments to bring clients into a relaxed state of mind

  • When we are calm, our brain waves slow down making its easier for us to focus on a problem, process things and potentially come up with solutions

  • It can be used for a wide range of conditions. I have helped clients with the following:

    • Chronic pain

    • Emotional distress

    • Insomnia

    • Relationship issues

1:1 Sound therapy

Once we have agreed that 1:1 Sound Therapy is suitable for you, we will book you in for your first session.

This is a longer session, lasting around 90 mins as I will explain the process in detail.

We can choose from gong, drum, Himalayan singing bowls or Crystal bowls. Depending on what we are working on, I might select one or more instruments.

I will play for you for around 30 mins, towards the end of the session, I use a series of shakers and a rain stick to bring you back to the space.

Once you are feeling alert, we sit together and talk about the how you feel.

For the most effective treatment outcome, I generally recommend a session once a week for 4 consecutive weeks.

A group session is for two or more people. It usually lasts around an hour. Very often I will use gongs with crystal bowls or Himalayan singing bowls.

We begin with a short breathing exercise and I ask if you have an intention for the session - this will give you focus and can make the session more effective.

Then you lie down covered with a blanket and we begin the sound bath.

After I finish playing, there will be a short ‘wake up’ sequence of shakers and chimes. This is followed by a minute of silence before we come back to the space.
